Ingredients (Organic):

1 32 oz. bottle of organic spple cider vinegar
1/4 cup chopped garlic
1/4 cup chopped onions
1/4 cup chopped habanero peppers (or hottest peppers you can find)
1/4 cup grated ginger
1/4 cup grated horseradish
2 Tsp. turmeric

Instructions:

  • Blend and strain
  • Pour liquid back in bottle
  • Compost everything else

You can store the tonic in a cupboard for long periods of time. There is no need to keep in the refrigerator. Drink a shot at the first signs of a cold or flu. For sore throats, gargle a little. It can also be used mixed with olive oil for a salad dressing. Or a shot full on you stir fry.

Enzymes ..

So in addition to taking a daily multi-vitamin, supplementing with enzyme’s are as equally important when striving to achieve optimum health.

What are enzymes?

Enzymes are proteins that facilitate chemical reactions in living organisms. In fact, they are required for every single chemical action that takes place in your body. All of your cells, organs, bones, muscles, and tissues are run by enzymes.

Enzymes & Digestion:

There are two digestion processes that occur in the body.

Mechanical Digestion:

The chewing of your food & the Peristaltic wave process as the food makes its way through your  stomach.

Chemical Digestion:

Breaks food down into smaller molecules. It’s during this process of digestion were you’ll find your enzymes hard at work.  Digestive enzymes help to break down large nutrient molecules in your food into smaller nutrient molecules that your body can absorb.

So in order to get the nutrients from the foods we eat  and yes even the multi-vitamin’s we may take, we need enzymes!!!  Without enzymes life itself could not exit’s.

Unfortunately as we grow older, our body’s ability to produce enzymes begins to significantly diminishes. This is why we must take a supplement. Do we really need to take a multi -vitamin everyday? Or can we suffice by eating enough fruit’s, vegetables, whole grains, nut’s and seeds to meet our daily nutritional needs? “Let thy food be thy medicine” Eat right, make healthy food choices and were all good right?

Well unfortunately were not. Healthy dieting alone won’t quiet get us to the optimum health & wellness finish line.

Both the journal of American medical association and British medical journal conclude that:

” If you do not supplement your diet today you are GUARANTEED to get chronic degenerative disease later in life”
Ie. heart disease, cancer, diabetes, arthritis etc..

Well i be darn! Our freshly grown organic fruits and vegetables Won’t supply us with the necessary vitamins and minerals we need to maintain optimum health? Sorry to be the bearer of  bad news, but no they will not. The farmland in which we grow our crops, is a far cry from what it use to be. Our soils has been depleted.

Senate document 264: farmland mineral depletion (1936) states,

Our farm soils are severely depleted of minerals. Laboratory tests prove that our fruits , vegetables, grains, eggs, milk, and meat of today are not what they were a few generations ago, No man today can eat enough fruits and vegetables to supply his stomach with the mineral salts he requires for perfect health, because his stomach isn’t big enough to hold them!

A Harvard university state of food study conducted in 2004 concluded that:
You would have to eat 43 bowls of spinach today to get the same amount of nutrition from one bowl of spinach in 1953.

Linus Pauling ( the only two time nobel prize winner and a leading authority on nutrition) states and i quote , ” Every ailment, every sickness, every disease, can be traced back to organic mineral deficiency”

The 1992 Earth summit revealed:

During the course of the preceding 100 years 85% of the mineral’s have been depleted from the soil in north america.

99% of American people are deficient in minerals , and that marked deficiency in any one of the more important minerals actually result in disease .”

Disorder and disease result from any vitamin deficiency . It is not commonly realized , however , that vitamins control the body’s appropriation of minerals , and in the absence of minerals they have no function to perform. Lacking vitamins , the system can make some use of minerals , but lacking minerals , vitamins are useless !! Even if the food you eat is fresh whole and organic it’s missing most of the minerals. And let me repeat “If your body is deficient in minerals any vitamin you take will be useless”

So taking a good quality multi-vitamin is a necessary must! What constitute’s a good quality multivitamin? Preferably one that’s in a liquid form as it absorb’s more easily and quickly gets into your bloodstream. It should also be plant based and organic.

If you’d rather not take a liquid multi, then find yourself a good quality whole food, plant based, organic multi vitamin in pill form.. Whatever you do , don’t take synthetic vitamins. There far to inferior, your body’s reacts to them as toxins and spends energy working to rid itself of what it considers to be waste!!
